Ghana Police Service has arrested the embattled Ghanaian Comedian, Benson Oduro, popularly known in Showbiz as Funny Face for threatening to kill his daughter’s mother and commit suicide on social media.
Funny Face recently was seen on social media threatening to shoot his baby mama, Vannesa Nicole in the head and also kill himself afterward.
Funny Face was also seen in the same post raining insults and spewing abusive words against some top Ghanaian media personalities and even his own one time friend, Emmanuel Adebayor, a Togolese intentional footballer.
The Police in a statement after his arrest cited his behaviour as indecent and cautioned the general public to against such acts.
A release issued by the police on the mater hinted the police will arraign the comedian before court to seek an order for psychiatric examinations as part of their investigations.
“Due to the history of the suspect, the police shall submit Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng to court for an order for a psychiatric examination to determine the next line of investigative action,’’ the statement continued.
The police went on to assure the general public of protecting lives as they would not take anything for granted.
Funny Face is said to have been arrested during a live interview with Kofi TV.
