A pastor in the United States of America, has sued a popular Black American musician,Kanye West for copy right offences.
The Texas-based pastor preferred legal actions against American rapper Kanye West for using his sermon in a song without permission.

He is also suing the rapper’s record labels- Def Jam Recordings, G.O.O.D Music and UMG Recordings for same offenses.
Bishop David Paul Moten claims Kanye now legally called Ye, plagiarized his religious speech in his ‘Come to Life’ song.
Bishop Moten accused the rapper and his labels of illegally using the religious speech in West’s Grammy-nominated Donda album.
The rapper and his legal team are yet to respond to the suit.
Bishop Moten claims the five-minute track contains about 20 percent of his religious sermon.
The pastor’s speech “My soul cries out hallelujah, and I thank God for saving me…..” is heard before the rapper’s vocals in the Come to Life song.
Moten said this is not the first time the celebraty is deliberately copy righting recordings of others in his works.
Kanye West in 2013 had to settle legal suit for using a Hungarian singer’s voice in his New Slaves song.
In 2016, the American artist settled claims for plagiarizing a child’s prayer in his hit song Ultralight Beam.
Kanye West again in 2018 was found culpable for sampling a theater work of Jamaican artist Marcus Harvey in his( Ghost Town Pt.2) song which featured Kid Cudi Freeee.
