The Speaker of Parliament of Ghana ,Hon. Alban Bagbin has on Tuesday ,October 22 Adjourned the sitting of the country’s parliament indefinitely.
Citing the reason for his decision,The Speaker noted that the number of Members of parliament(MPs) present do not form a quorum to warrant further conduction of business in the house.
The country’s Parliament has since last week experienced some disputes between the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) and the majority opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the composition of the Majority following declaration of 4 seats as Vacant.
The New Patriotic Party caucus led by Hon. Alexander Afenyo Markin filed a suit at the country’s Supreme court for the interpretation of the constitution of the declaration of seats as Vacant.l by the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament
Reports from Ghana’s parliament on Tuesday October 22 morning said both the ruling Party ,the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress occupied the Majority seats in the house.

The report further indicated that the Ruling New Patriotic Party staged a walkout from the house sensing a brawl between the two political parties.
However, the Speaker of Parliament acknowledged the receipt of a communication from the Supreme Court without further explaining the content of the communication.
