The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Ghana’s state owned oil company, has declared that his vision is to position GNPC as a global leader in the oil and gas industry.
Hon. Edward Abambire Bawa said his leadership will also ensure that the company’s operations improve upon the quality of life for Ghanaians.
The former member of parliament for Bongo constituency disclosed that key among his vision is to foster stronger collaboration with key stakeholders and partners to increase sector investments.
Hon. Edward Bawa made the declaration upon his official assumption of office as CEO of the corperation .
Hon. Bawa noted the Corporation can expand its resource base, enhance exploration and production as well as create new opportunities across the petroleum value chain through stronger collaboration with key stakeholder collaboration and partnerships.
These partnerships he further noted will not only drive growth for GNPC but also ensure the long-term energy security and economic prosperity of Ghana.
He reiterated his determination to prioritize strategic initiatives that align with the dynamic needs of the global energy landscape.
Hon Bawa said his administration will embrace cutting-edge technologies that attract and retain the best talents, and uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and transparency.
The CEO pointed out that GNPC has been a pillar in Ghana’s energy sector. He expressed profound gratitude to the President, H. E. John Dramani Mahama for the trust and confidence reposed in him to lead affairs of GNPC.
Hon. Edward Bawa emphasized on the to build on GNPC’s mandate to sustainably explore, develop, and manage country’s petroleum resources for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
